Wow.. this was a big wedding! Definitely the biggest I’ve done to date with over 400 people in attendance! Mathavi, who happens to be one of the most photogenic people I’ve photographed.. got ready with her 5 bridesmaids at her parents house. It was a colourful Srilankan wedding with a ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Croydon followed by a reception at Chak89. We did make a short in-between stop at the nearby Coombe Wood for some photos in the beautiful gardens. It was a scorcher of a day – who would have thought in October! The reception at Chack89 was lively with friends and family providing entertainment in the form of dancing, music and speeches. Both Mathavi and Justin were a pleasure to work with on the day.. I know this would be the case when I met them at their home a few weeks ago – very easy going and a true delight to photograph. Wishing them all the best for their future together..
Here are a few snaps of the day, to view all images you will need to ask Mathavi or Justin for the web gallery password.
After the ceremony, the happy couple, myself, close family and the bridal party made our way to the nearby Coombe Wood for some group and couple shots…
We then made our way to Chak89 for the reception where Mathavi and Justin had a quick and stunning change of attire before joining all their guests for an evening of entertainment… good food, dancing, musicians, speeches….
