I’ve indulged in a personal blog post… I went to Thailand recently with my wonderful man Georgio and thought I’d share a few of my fave snaps. We spent most of our time in sleepy Ko Lanta, a beautiful island yet to be impacted by mass tourism.. Going slightly out of season meant we had a beach pretty much to ourselves! We also went to Ko Phi Phi, not our favourite due to some ‘tacky tourism’ but undeniably stunning beaches and views. Lastly we spent a couple of days in the buzzing chaos that is Bangkok…
Its always a bonus when I estimate the settings and hand the camera over to G.. and the pic comes out so well. I do love this shot, thanks G!
As I spent a few moment snapping away some quiet beachside surroundings, the cap in the bottom right corner did make me smirk..
This shot below was taken on a 10 second shutter speed (and for those interested.. F8, ISO500) I love the purple-ish glow I got
We stopped for a small bite to eat.. G looks on as the man cooks it. We were not entirely sure what we actually ordered but it tasted good!
While walking along a local side street on the very outskirts of Bangkok, G cant resist getting a quick look at the football score…..
G and I took a long tail boat through some of the small Bangkok canals, meandering through small riverside villages with their colourful homes. We stopped off at Taling Chan floating market for some lunch – a market visited mainly by Thai’s rather than tourists.
We caught the tail end of a parade outside the grand palace… I think the Queen’s Guards bearskin hats have some competition…..
